South East London CCG – Community Cardiology Diagnostic Services

Welcome to our hub of information for referring clinicians across the South East London CCG community ECG and BP service.

Xyla Diagnostics have been commissioned by South East Lambeth CCG to deliver ECG and Blood Pressure services across the Borough of Lambeth from May 2021. Working in partnership with PCNs across the borough, Xyla have been commissioned to provide all GPs with fast, local access to the following diagnostic services for your patients:

  • 12-Lead ECG
  • Ambulatory ECG (Holter Monitoring)
  • Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring
  • Home Blood Pressure Monitoring

Based in Central London, Xyla Diagnostics are a specialist non-invasive cardiology diagnostics service provider experienced in delivering tailored local services to both primary and secondary care organisations.

Cardiovascular Diagnostic Centres – CVDCs

This service is being carried out at 4 interim Cardiovascular Diagnostic Centres (CVDCs).

The services will be reviewed and assessed in the first 6 months to determine what if any service improvements are required, as well as whether they meet the needs of referrers and the patient population.

Your CCG have ratified a specific referral pathway regarding which CVDC each GP Practice should refer their patients into for diagnostic tests.

Please note the service hours will be reviewed regularly and communication will be sent out by Xyla should they change from the hours listed here. These hours listed represent Xyla’s overall service hours, however please be aware that individual CVDC operating hours may differ according to staff availability, room availability and other clinical commitments.

ECG cut-off represents the end of the ECG acceptance window for the day. All ECGs transferred after this time will be analysed the following day.

Referral Information

How to refer via EMIS

An EMIS referral pathway allows for a swift, seamless, and safe process.

  1. Your practice can immediately access available appointments at your local CVDC.
  2. The CVDC view these appointments and have automatic access to your completed clinical referral form.
  3. Once the appointment is complete, CVDC staff return the complete report within EMIS where a task is raised for your attention.

Complete an EMIS Task

You can only complete tasks in the To-Do List on EMIS.

  1. Access Tasks. Click at EMIS, point to Workflow, select Workflow Manager, then click Tasks in the navigation pane.
  2. In the navigation pane, click To-Do List.
  3. In the right-hand pane, click the task that you want to complete.
  4. To complete the task immediately, click Complete on the Tasks ribbon and select Complete Task. The task is moved to the Completed category.
  5. To add a note to the task and then complete it, click Complete on the ribbon and select Complete Task with Note.
  6. On the Task Description screen, type the required information, and then click OK. The task is moved to the Completed category, with the note attached.
