Meet Raechelle, our Senior Community and Service Development Manager

Raechelle has been with Xyla Elective Care for almost 3 years and we are really lucky to have her in our team. Due to our commitment to extend our diagnostic services into primary healthcare, she now has a new role as Senior Community and Service Development Manager.

A fact about you that no one knows about you

I worked as a model, prior to pursuing a career in healthcare, firstly training as a registered nurse then moving into various management within healthcare industry.

I loved my experience as a model, not only because it was fun and exciting, but also because of the comradery, teamwork and discipline that I developed. I formed lasting friendships. It was great hobby and I have many lovely memories.

Talk about the business development and quality elements of your role

My new role has evolved as Xyla Elective Care is expanding their service provision to that of a multi-modality provider of diagnostics to primary and secondary healthcare, as well as to independent healthcare providers.

This commitment to extend our diagnostic services into primary healthcare, whilst simultaneously developing and launching a portfolio of new managed diagnostics services for the business, with further service expansion planned lends itself naturally towards the creation of a role such as, Senior Community and Service Development Manager within the business. Slotting into this role for me is a natural progression for me and allows for a realistic platform for these objectives to successfully rolled out. The success of these objectives has direct positive implications for patients, more diagnostic appointments become available to our Customers. As a result, more patients are scanned in a timely manner, closer to their homes, which allow their referrers to make faster decision around patient clinical management. This outcome is a major part of the NHS Long term plan (NHS Diagnostics: Recovery and Renewal October 2020)

Xyla Elective Care commitment to quality, remains at the heart of this role and therefore aligns itself to me maintaining the Registered Manager (CQC) responsibility, as well as being a senior colleague within the Clinical Operations Team and the wider business.
