Transforming diagnostic services through Xyla Elective Care

COVID-19 has allowed us to grow and innovate our teledermatology service rapidly. Delivering consultations and diagnostic services safely, securely and at no detriment to the patient’s experience and outcomes is vital. We provide an innovative teledermatology service to NHS Trusts. At Xyla Elective Care, we seamlessly integrate our technology with NHS pathways, reducing staff shortages and patient waiting-lists.

Our approach

  1. Helping match local demand for diagnostic services to the available supply of staff (including those who can offer services remotely)
  2. Increasing diagnostic throughput, both by reducing unsuitable referrals to specialists and then supporting those specialists to make decisions in the most efficient way possible
  3. Enabling flexible working to extend the careers of skilled staff working in diagnostic services

Our virtual dermatology clinics

Step 1: Primary care clinicians use mobile phones/digital camera to obtain images

Step 2: Our expert dermatologists review images on a Cinapsis secure imaging platform

Step 3: Patients are either discharged back to their GP, provided with advice and a follow-up appointment, or referred onwards
