Meet the Xyla Elective Care team

Nicola Ellis-Webb

Clinical Operations Director

Nicola has held senior nursing and operational roles within the private sector for over 10 years. Her clinical background covered gastroenterology, urology, renal and endocrinology.

She is a subject matter expert for insourcing and responsible for developing key strategies and policies for the service. Nicola will work closely with the specialty leads for each service to design service specifications, operational policies and agree eligibility criteria for the consultant body.

Nicola has operational and clinical oversight of all insourcing services and will leverage support and expertise from each specialty lead as appropriate.

Jo Berry

Head of Service Delivery

Jo has overall management responsibilities for all our insourcing contracts within acute hospitals. Her scope includes client satisfaction, weekly performance monitoring and reporting and ongoing service improvements. Jo is currently studying for her MBA at Henley Business School.

Vanessa Fernandis

Chief Divisional Governance Officer

Vanessa has 15 years’ experience in managing clinical governance both for NHS and independent healthcare organisations. She has spent the last 3.5 years in senior governance roles within insourcing. Vanessa has worked with over 65 NHS trusts leading on the implementation of governance frameworks and performance metrics to ensure that contracts are effectively monitored and managed.

Sarah Hicks

Head of Partnerships and Service Development

Sarah has almost 14 years’ experience as an NHS manager. She has worked with several NHS trusts as General Manager for a variety of services and as Head of Elective Access.

Sarah is our operational lead for all virtual and community services.

Kylie Sadler

Head of Recruitment and Compliance

Kylie is an experienced recruitment executive with a record of successful recruitment strategy development most recently focused on healthcare recruitment and compliance.

She is our Head of Recruitment and Compliance and her role includes leading the people onboarding functions as well as the continuous maintenance, development and improvement of compliance standards and regulatory requirements, as it relates to the hundreds of clinical remote workers that we are recruiting into the business.

Claire Fisher

Chief Nurse

Claire has over 20 years’ experience as a nurse. She has held many senior roles as Head of Nursing and more recently as Director of Clinical Services.

Claire is the clinical lead for Xyla Elective Care and leads the Medical Advisory Group.

Ashley Dotter

Head of Project Management

Ashley has held senior operations and business development roles in the independent healthcare sector for over 10 years. As an experienced project manager, she leads on the successful delivery of mobilising new clinical services, by overseeing the senior management team for delegated tasks to support each program of work. She also provides leadership to the mobilisation team who are responsible for scheduling staff across our contracts, as well as our travel and operations teams.
