Our outpatient virtual services are designed to improve patient outcomes and experience, and importantly, to increase timely access to specialist care.
Demand optimisation is an important element of our virtual services and each specialty benefits from high-impact interventions such as referral management, and GP education and training to ensure patients are appropriately signposted to the right service the first time. In addition, we maintain important interdependencies with local services to reduce unwarranted variation in care pathways.

Advice & Guidance via our Integrated Clinical Advice Network (ICAN)
Where local clinicians are unavailable, or there is no local coverage in a particular speciality, GPs can access Advice & Guidance via the Integrated Clinical Advice Network. This service is the result of innovative collaboration with our partner Cinapsis. Together, we provide several new ‘care delivery’ models that focus on integrating primary and secondary care.
